Mr. Muchow’s professional experience spans more than 40 years including being in responsible charge of a wide variety of municipal, construction, and private consulting work.

  • Redevelopment Agency Manager for the City of Goleta (RDA).
  • General Manager and Chief Engineer for the Hollister Ranch, a 14,000 acre cattle ranch and residential community association in Santa Barbara County, CA.
  • Manager of Construction Management Services for Flatiron Structure, LLC.
  • Manager of Permits, Utilities and Right-of-Way for Silverado Constructors. He led a team that helped successfully deliver the fully documented highway right-of-way to Caltrans for the $1 Billion Eastern Transportation Corridor (ETC Toll Road) Project.
  • Deputy Chief Engineer for Transportation Corridor Agencies (TCAs).
  • Vice President NBS/Lowry a medium sized (300 staff) engineering consulting firm.
  • Director of Public Works for the City of Irvine. During a 15-year period he started and managed a department that was responsible for the funding, construction, maintenance and operation of the City’s major infrastructure systems and the City’s Transportation Program. Mr. Muchow also managed all construction and building inspection for the City through a subordinate building official.
  • Orange County Road Department civil engineer. Mr. Muchow served in the Planning, Design and Construction groups working on all phases of highway engineering in the countywide area. He also held the position of Traffic Engineer of the County for four years.
